Deputy Lieutenant Bill Tennant DL represented the Lord Lieutenant Lady Haughey CBE at the Installation Ceremony for Sheriff David Bernard on Thursday 26th June 2025 , at Lanark Sheriff Court .Sheriff Bernard joined the Crown Office as a trainee solicitor . As a prosecutor , he undertook a range of roles across Scotland . He was latterly appointed as Sheriffdom Procurator Fiscal for North Strathclyde in September 2024 .
