On Saturday 12 September 2026, George Barnsley DL proudly represented the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire at the Airdrie & Coatbridge Sea Cadets, T.S. ENTERPRISE (Unit No.007), Mission Hall, Motherwell Street, Airdrie, for their Special Presentation Day.
George had the great pleasure of presenting Able Cadet Indiana Atkins with her Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet Certificate and Award. This honour recognises Indiana’s outstanding commitment, leadership, and service within the Sea Cadet Corps.
Indiana and her fellow Cadets also delivered an engaging and informative presentation on their recent Cadet Naval Experience Week at HMS Raleigh, offering insight into the skills, discipline, and teamwork developed during their time at the Royal Navy’s premier training establishment.
It was an excellent occasion, and the Cadets, staff, volunteers, and families should be commended for their dedication, public service, and continued commitment to the values of the Sea Cadets.
