MOIRA ANDERSON MEMORIAL GARDEN

Deputy Lieutenant Derrick Hannan DL was delighted to open a new Memorial Garden in Airdrie on 20th February.The Moira Anderson Foundation (MAF)charity was started in 2000 to support people of all ages affected by Childhood Sexual Abuse. MAF supports people from all over Scotland , but predominantly from Lanarkshire and Glasgow.The garden, with a special stone to commemorate Moira Anderson, the 11 year old girl who went missing from Coatbridge in 1957, MAF is her legacy. The Foundation was founded by Sandra Brown OBE who joined DerrickĀ  Hannan for the official opening of the garden.
