THE BOYS’ BRIGADE – PRESENTATION OF KING’S BADGE CERTIFICATES

On Sunday the 7th of June 2026, the Lieutenancy was represented by George Barnsley DL, at the Boys’ Brigade Lanarkshire District Fellowship Presentation of King’s Badge Certificates.

The recipients of this prestigious award are known within the Boys’ Brigade as “Kingsmen”, signifying that they have attained the Brigade’s highest award and demonstrated the highest standards of service, leadership, commitment and character. The King’s Badge has been the Boys’ Brigade’s premier award since 1913.

The presentation was held at South Calder Parish Church, Newmains, where families, friends and members of the Boys’ Brigade gathered to celebrate the achievements of 62 Kingsmen. The certificates were presented by the Provost of North Lanarkshire, Councillor Kenneth Duffy.

We take this opportunity to congratulate all 62 Kingsmen on their magnificent achievement and commend them for their dedication, perseverance and service to the Boys’ Brigade.
