The 2026 King’s Award for Enterprise winners were announced today . There were 186 in total, 8 from Scotland and 1 from Lanarkshire -The Wee Farm Distillery from the village of Climpy near Forth.
The Wee Farm Distillery is a hidden gem in South Lanarkshire , based on the McKerr family’s farm . The first Micro Distillery in South Lanarkshire , established in March 2018 and it’s a one woman operation run by Jenny McKerr on the family livestock farm along with her husband and 3 young daughters. They produce a range of gins and gin liqueurs and bespoke gift packaging . They were successful in the Sustainable Development category.
Lord Lieutenant Lady Susan Haughey CBE congratulated the Company on achieving this prestigious award.
‘ I am keen that other Lanarkshire businesses will look at the success of the Wee Farm Distillery and others before them like ACS Clothing and Glencairn Crystal and recognise the business benefits the King’s Award for Enterprise can bring .’
Applications for 2027 open today 6th May and close on 9th September 2026.
