Many congratulations to Jim and Janice Rankine who recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary .
And visiting the happy couple in East Kilbride on 19th September was Depute Provost Bert Thomson and Deputy Lieutenant Sandy Wilkie MBE DL. The Depute Provost presented Mr and Mrs Rankine with flowers and a card from South Lanarkshire Council whilst Sandy Wilkie passed on congratulations from Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire Lady Haughey CBE.
Originally from Motherwell , Mr and Mrs Rankine were married in Hamilton Congregational Church followed by a reception in the Silvertrees Hotel in Bothwell and honeymoon in Crieff.
