Many congratulations to Isabel Whittingham from Motherwell who celebrated her 105th Birthday surrounded by her family on 16th October 2024.
Isabel has lived through a world war, the launch of television, 23 prime ministers and five monarchs and her secret to a long life is to work hard .
She has 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and nine great-great- grandchildren.
Grandson Gerard Dillon said: “There’s grandsons and granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, great-great grandchildren… and I think there might be another one after that, almost seven generations!”
Granddaughter Lisa Carroll added: “She can’t believe she’s 105, she keeps saying ‘What age am I?’ and we’re like ‘105’ and she’s like ‘no!’.
