Coronation of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort

 Many events have been taking place right across Lanarkshire to celebrate the historic Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla which the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire Lady Haughey CBE attended at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023.

Below are photographs from a small selection of celebrations here in Lanarkshire which have involved a lot of hard work and detailed planning and have clearly been enjoyed so much by so many people .

Lanark Community Development Trust  organised a special Coronation Celebration Concert in Lanark Memorial Hall on 5th May attended by Vice Lord-Lieutenant Gavin Whitefield CBE DL.

A Coronation Lunch took place at Bardykes Farm Nursery School attended by Sandy Wilkie MBE DL.

Lanark Community Development Trust unveiled a Coronation bench next to the town’s railway station .

On the day of The Big Help Out residents of Kilncadzow carried out pre-painting work in their Village Hall .

St Nicholas Church Coronation Flower Festival ran from 5th to 8th May in Lanark .
