HRH Princess Royal visited the regeneration site at Ravenscraig and officially opened the new £3.7m public park called The Craig on Friday 11th March 2022.
Princess Anne was received by Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire Lady Haughey CBE and introduced to North Lanarkshire Council Provost Jean Jones . Senior Project Manager Jonathan Speed then took the Princess on a walking tour of the park during which she was introduced to Bobbi Arnott who runs the Food Lovers Cafe there , before meeting pupils from Brannock High and Our Lady & St Francis Primary who proposed the chosen name for the park and play area respectively .
