Lanark Lanimers 2021

Due to the pandemic the Lanark Lanimer celebrations were held for the first time in September this year  .

Lord Lieutenant Lady Haughey CBE was delighted to attend on Saturday 4th September  2021 and participate in this historic occasion . Although minus the usual Lanimer Lorries , groups and organisations from all over the Burgh pulled out al the stops , with more than 400 costumed entrants joining the procession down the High Street , Castlegate and on to Castlebank Park where the crowning ceremony of Queen Elect Lacey Holmes took place .

The event was a great success and the culmination of eight months of planning and hard work by the Lanimer Committtee who will be looking forward to hopefully once again holding Lanimer Day next year  in June , as has always been the tradition .
