Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020

Unfortunately ,as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic it has not been possible for  the usual organised Remembrance Services and Parades to take place in Lanarkshire this year.. However , whilst complying with the current restrictions at all times, representatives of the Lieutenancy laid wreaths  at 60 war  memorials right across the County to remember and honour all those who made the ultimate sacrifice .

Thanks to the sterling work of John McKenzie DL  a number of locations have been added to what was already an extended list in 2019.The Lieutenancy aims to include all war memorials in Lanarkshire and if anyone has details of any locations not currently included in the undernoted list please advise the Lieutenancy Office (lord-lieutenant@northlan.gov.uk) :
