Mr Derrick Hannan DL recently attended two Christmas Concerts by North Lanarkshire Schools’ Music Groups held in the Motherwell Concert Hall.
In the concert held on Monday 9 December 2019 the audience enjoyed performances from the Junior String Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, Wind Band and NL Collective. During the concert held on Tuesday 10 December participant groups included the Preparatory Band, Chorus, Wind Ensemble, Traditional Music Group and World Champion Pipe Band. With many hundreds of participant pupils displaying tremendous musical skill the hall was packed to capacity both evenings. The audiences enjoying a fabulous range and quality of music entertainment getting them into the festive spirit.
