Queen’s Award For Enterprise 2020 – Open Now For Applications

The application process for the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is now open for the 2020 cycle. Businesses which are interested in applying for an award can enter between 1st May 2019 – 10th September 2019.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise have been operating in various forms since 1966, developing over the years into the current format comprising four categories of Award

  • Innovation
  • International Trade
  • Sustainable Development
  •  Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility

Previous winners have confirmed that the main reasons they enter for a Queen’s Award is for the prestige it brings them. Both at home and overseas, respect for the company is enhanced with this notable achievement. Winners find that being the company with a Queen’s Award amongst other competitors can often make the difference in gaining an introduction to new customers. A win is also a great promotional opportunity for publicity in local and national newspapers as well as international trade magazines, in print and on-line.

The majority of winning companies have below 250 employees but there are also larger who companies who have won.

Terry Currie chairs the Lanarkshire Lieutenancy Business Group.
