The Lord Lieutenant Lady Haughey CBE is delighted to announce the appointment of Cadet Staff Sergeant Josh Monteith as a Lord Lieutenant Cadet .
Josh of the Glasgow and Lanarkshire Battalion Army Cadet Force recently was presented with a framed scroll by the Lord Lieutenant to mark his appointment .
The role of a Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet is to support the Lord Lieutenant in carrying out her duties as Her Majesty The Queen’s personal representative in Lanarkshire. The selection and appointment of a Cadet acknowledges their outstanding contribution to their cadet service and community . Staff Sergeant Monteith’s first duty was to accompany Lady Haughey to the Remembrance Service held at the Civic Centre , Motherwell to mark the 73rd Anniversary of the end of WW2 in the Far East .
